Larren LeRoy Holdren

In 2019 we started what we affectionately call our Senior Wildcatter’s Hall of Fame to recognize some of our long-time friends while they are still with us.  Sometimes we don’t accomplish it in time.  In June we lost one of our current Board Members. The Board of Directors would like to say a few words about . . .

Larren LeRoy Holdren, known to many as the man, the myth, the legend!  Larren had hands the size of Texas and a heart just as big!  When Larren shook your hand or gave you a hug, you knew it.  No wimpy hugs or handshakes from Larren.  He never told anyone that he would not help them, which often turned into a life’s lesson; he taught them how to fix the problem.  He was like Mark Twain’s quote:  “I never met a man I didn’t like.”

Larren joined the Senior Wildcatter’s Board of Directors in 2021.  He brought many new sponsors to the Golf Tournament.  We shared many oilfield experiences, memories, and jokes during his five years on The Board.  It was an honor and a privilege to call Larren our friend.  He will be forever in our hearts.
