First of all, I would like to thank the Board for thinking of me for the Senior Wildcatter’s Hall of Fame - must be because I am so damn old.  All I do is come out, have a good time, meet a lot of great people, and see old friends I’ve golfed with for many years.

I was born in Sheridan Wyoming and lived in Casper all my life.  I have been married for 62 years to my wonderful wife, Treva. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, five grandchildren, three grandsons-in-law, and eight great grandchildren.

I went to work rebuilding electric motors in 1963 and started Intermountain Electric Motor Repair in 1983.  My boys work with me.  They started running the business in 2003, but they can’t get rid of me.  I  still go out every morning to work.  People keep asking me when I am going to retire.  I tell them, “When they carry me out.”  I love my job, the people I work with, and our great customers.

I have hunted all my life and got my boys into hunting.  We still hunt together and have been fortunate enough to hunt in Canada, the Northwest Territories, and New Zealand.

I started golfing in my mid 40s and still hit the ball today.  I don’t call it golfing anymore, just exercising and chasing the ball around.  I still go out two or three times a week with my sons and grandsons.  Family is everything to me, and today our great grandchildren keep us young.  I taught my grandsons everything I know about golf.  My sons were smart enough to get them lessons, and today they are scratch golfers. Now I’m trying to get my great grandsons to play golf.

Thank you for this award. I am very honored to receive it.
